Howdy and Welcome to the Team!

We are so excited about the team that God has put together!

We have a team of 14 college and career age folks and six high school staff. This summer we will serve two camps that each have a long history of impactful ministry as they are now entering a new phase of growth and development. Camp Grace near Wheatland, WY was founded in 1951 and joined Ironwood’s Family of Camps in 2013 and Camp Assurance near Georgetown, IL was founded in 1949 and joined Ironwood’s Family of Camps in 2023. We will begin the summer at Camp Grace. Some of the staff from Ironwood will join us for a portion of the week as we pack both the week with both physical and the spiritual foundations for the summer. I am excited to begin! Because we are still pioneering these ministries in many ways, we will do quite a few things just like Ironwood does them. But, some things will be unique to each of the other two camps. After our week of at training and between our two camps we will have a week to get oriented and ready at each camp. I hope you are good at being flexible!

Here are a few links that I believe will be helpful as you prepare. If you have questions, chances are good that someone else has the same question so don’t hesitate to ask! That way we can update this page with more information and answers!

The first few links feel free to share with family and friends. I copied link to the specifics for Guys/Girls dress from Ironwood’s webpages for now but if I have time I will create new pages just for us. Other than swapping out the name of the camp and exchanging “lake” with “pool” (only at Camp Assurance), all the information is the same. Feel free to share these pages with your moms if they are curious or want to help you plan and pack. Thanks for your patience!

Yes, those resources are on the same page

The Ironwood manual includes quite a few pages that we won’t need (dealing with specific safety and activity areas at Ironwood.) Feel free to skim over this document but don’t feel like you need to read every word. We will cover together most of what you need to know. If you know the basic layout of the book and where to find what you need you will be fine!
