Teen camps are week-long (Monday-Friday) overnight camps for 7th-12th graders. Campers enjoy activities and each day's schedule differs slightly. Teens appreciate the extra free time as well as some fun extras just for their age group. Excellent preaching along with practical discussion and application led by dedicated counselors creates a spiritually focused environment with lots of fun in between.
Brother Mike was raised in Seattle, Washington. A trumpet player from an early age, he attended Bob Jones University where he received his Bachelor's in Music Education. More importantly, while at Bob Jones Mike met Lori Nestor. The two were married and moved to Boston Massachusetts so Mike could pursue work on his master's degree in Trumpet Performance at Boston University. But while Mike had been preparing to be a professional trumpet player, God had different plans and called Mike into the ministry.
He first served as youth pastor and song leader at his local church in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts before being called to serve as youth pastor and music pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor, Connecticut under Pastor Tom Zempel. It was during their ministry at Calvary that Mike and Lori adopted their son, Drew. Next, Mike served under Frank Bumpus at Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg, IL before being called for over 17 years to serve as both a representative and staff evangelist for Bob Jones University.
During his time at the University Mike traveled the United States and spoke in countless churches, camps, and retreats. Today, Mike has been called to travel as an independent evangelist and he continues to speak and play his trumpet at ministries all over the United States and even around the world. Please keep Brother Mike in your prayers as he travels!
For 13 years Andy served as the Student Ministries Pastor at Burge Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He graduated from Bob Jones University in 2001 with a degree in Pastoral Studies and soon after completed a Masters of Ministry degree from Northland International University while serving at Burge Terrace. In August 2014, his church relieved him of his pastoral responsibilities to send the family to follow God's call in itinerate gospel ministry to local churches.
First and foremost, Andy is an expositor of the Word of God. A consistent theme across Andy's preaching and teaching is helping the church learn, live, and give the gospel of Jesus Christ entirely by God's grace. He also enjoys writing new hymns for the church that exalt Christ and His cross. He is a member of Burge Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis, and he serves on the board of Morris Gleiser Revival Ministries.
Outside of his family and preaching, Andy's passion is baseball. He is devoted to his Kansas City Royals.
