Scholarship assistance for campers [$100 per scholarship]
Marguerite Warner served for many years as an officer in the Assurance Area Women's Missionary Association. Scholarship funds provide those who respond to adds in public media with a big chunk of their first ever Camp Assurance camp registration fee. These funds are being used for a purely evangelistic purpose. Campers are chosen with preferences given to single-parent or veterans' homes.
Project 25
"Project 25" encourages individuals, church groups, or businesses to give $25 per month or a one-time gift of $300 or more. These funds are set aside for work to complete The Master's Plan for Camp Assurance. The Master's Plan outlines the developments to be made over the next twenty years to improve Camp Assurance's ministry to children and churches.
Donors to Project 25 receive a beautiful, limited-edition coffee mug as a big "THANK YOU!" for helping us make Camp Assurance even more "A Fun Place, Preparing People for Eternity".
New Program Building [$10,000]
Our small temporary storage buildings are falling apart. In addition we have added more materials that need to be securely stored, preferably in a centralized place. By putting up a 20'x30' garage-style building we can store the Black Thunder sleds, ropes&harnesses for Zippy, and our canoes and trailers in a lockable facility. We have received gifts of $1,025 already and hope to have the funds in place to begin building this by April 1, 2012. Can you help?
Opportunity to get Refrigeration Units
The two refrigeration units available would double our current refrigerator space and triple our freezer space. We could eliminate three old chest freezers and save a lot of pain on our aging staffers [Freezer items would be stored on shelves rather than piled in a chest freezer forcing old backs a lot of stress!]. The immediate need is for $1,000 to purchase a unit and $3,000 more to set them up and get them running by May 1st.
It is very possible that the refrigeration units and the new Program Building could be combined in a new wing added onto the Camp Assurance kitchen/kitchen storage areas. Would you help provide the funds to make this "step ahead" on The Master's Plan a reality?
