Speaker: Marie Nissley
Marie grew up on the mission field in France. Raised by parents whose missionary work began at home, she learned about the gospel at an early age. At 5 years old she asked, "Dad, shouldn't I be saved to be a missionary?" Nestled on his knee, Marie trusted in Jesus Christ as the only way, the truth, and the life. Growing up in France, Marie learned to love other cultures, church planting ministry, and playing the harp. She studied drama ministry at the Academy of Arts in South Carolina and experienced the power of Biblical truth brought to life on stage. Marie continued her studies in speech and music at Bob Jones University, where she met her husband Chris. During a recent visit to her home church in MI, the pastor who married them remarked as he eyed their 5 mischievous offspring, "The weddings I perform seem to be successful in producing large families!" Pastor Chris and Marie have served the Lord in churches in South Carolina, Kansas, and Illinois for the past 15 years. As a home school mom and Pastor's wife, there is never a dull moment!
